2. Your Rights Under Alberta Law

As a consumer in Alberta, you are protected by the Consumer Protection Act and the Consumer Bill of Rights.

You cannot waive or give up your rights under the Act, even if a contract or term attempts to do so.

If required contract information (such as our refund policy, your total cost, or our contact details) is not properly disclosed, you may cancel an online contract within 7 days (for purchases over $50).

If we fail to deliver the goods within 30 days of the promised delivery, you may cancel and request a full refund.
3. Eligibility for Refunds & Returns
Eligible Products
You may request a return or refund for:

Unused, unopened organic worm castings

Sealed bags or containers of compost or soil amendments

Shelf-stable, unopened microbial teas
Products Not Eligible for Return
Refunds are not available for:

Any product that has been opened or used, including worm castings, compost, or blended soils

Freshly brewed or “living” compost teas

Products exposed to moisture, contamination, or improper storage after delivery

Custom-blended or made-to-order soil amendments once delivered
4. Defective, Damaged, or Contaminated Items
If your order arrives in a damaged or unacceptable condition, please:

Inspect your package immediately upon delivery.

Contact us within 7 days, with photos and your order number, if you see any of the following:

Tearing, punctures, or torn packaging

Moisture damage, mold, or pungent odors beyond normal earthy scent

Foreign debris, contamination, or unexpected material

Significant weight loss (indicating a loss of product)

After validation, we will offer a replacement, refund, or store credit, depending on the situation and availability.
5. Returns Process

We will provide a Return Authorization before you ship anything back.

Return the products in the original packaging, securely packed.

It is recommended to use a trackable shipping method — you are responsible for return shipping unless otherwise agreed.

Once we receive and inspect the returned items, we will process your refund.

Refunds are made to the original payment method.

Please allow up to 14 business days for processing after we receive your return.

7. Order Cancellation

8. Bulk Orders (Large Volumes)
For bulk orders (e.g., pallets, bulk totes):

Returns may be limited to unopened full units only.

Partial or opened units (e.g., supersacks, totes) are not eligible for return.

Return shipping for bulk units is typically the customer’s responsibility, unless damaged on delivery.
9. Storage & Quality Disclaimer

Our organic materials must be stored in a cool, dry, and shaded place.

We cannot offer a refund for product degradation due to improper storage (e.g., heat damage, pests, or moisture) after delivery.
